Otaku no Musume-san

So I've been reading Otaku no Musume-san to see if I want to do it but...it's kinda lame, isn't it? More than kinda, it really is lame. Are you guys sure you want to read this? If you are, I'll do it but... it's seriously lame.

2 hours later: Okay, I take back what I said. It's not half bad once you get past the first 5 chapters. Alright, I should have the rest of vol 1 translated by tomorrow if all goes well.

I dropped my mouse and it broke like the cheap trash that it is. So no more releases until I buy a new one, probably this weekend.

The Kaiji issue is settled: I'm not going to be working on that because a lot of other people plan to. Instead I'm going to give Otaku no Musume-san the once-over this weekend, see if it's the sort of thing I can work with.

Oh, that reminds me. I hear some scanslation groups are currently working on Kaiji and planning to release soon. If anyone can confirm/deny this rumour I'd be most grateful. It would save me a lot of time.

As I mentioned yesterday I'm already working on Trickster, and when I'm done with that I have one or two other titles I want to tackle before getting to 4chan's list. That's why I'm anxious to correct any impression I may have left that I'm jumping on Kaiji or any other title right away. Anyone who wants to do any of those titles is more than welcome to do so, just drop me a line so I don't get started.

For Kaiji at least, since I seems to have raised so many hopes, I'm aiming to get the first 13 volumes (first "arc") done. Not going to promise anything more than that.

Trickster translation is going well but I don't see the point in making daily progress reports. I'll make the next blog entry once I'm done editing the prologue and first chapter.

I'm going to post manga links for manga I scanslate here in this here blog. Right now I'm working on Trickster by Aro Hiroshi, which is a little bit funny, a little bit ecchi and a little bit sad (imho).

I've got up to chapter 4 translated, and if all goes well I'll be done with translating the whole thing by tomorrow evening, knock on wood. I can't give an ETA on when the finished product will be ready, but look out for it sometime next week.

I've already got a list of projects I'm going to be working on for a while, but I'll hear requests if you have any. Just don't expect anything.

- Not licensed
- Not being actively scanslated (last release over 6 months ago)
- Not hentai
- Not too much nudity (I'll know it when I see it)
- No guro
- No other gross stuff

I'll be able to better consider the project if you include a link to raws or at least a few sample pages. Stay tuned for more news later.
